Last year I started making new personal project - short film House. It is combination of 2D/3D animations and green screen work, approximately 6 minutes long. I did pretty much all of it to test what I can do only in my free time. I hope film will serve as a basis for new tutorials and tips, which I learned on the way. I'm also going to publish all the "behind the scene" works that went into making it.

I've been trying out object 3D scanning from photos. This is one of the test, which was done pretty quickly. I only photographed 180° and it worked. I found that you need at least 20 photos going around the object multiplied by 3 different heights. The result is not too clean, but I hope that comes from my unfamiliarity with the software and the topic. For now at least. :)
This is wooden war box from first world war which I model from real museum item/reference. I just thought it look really interesting and was surprisingly pretty lightweight. It was render with GI and physical render, texture is UV mapped. I am probably going to refine texture a little more and add some more details.
PS: For those who are interested what the K.K. KSCH stands for, it means kaiserlich-königliche Kaiserschützen in other words imperial-royal shooters. Download new 3D model - cutting board, also includes texture of wood with a proper UV mapping.
